The Anderson Family

Castle Pines, Colorado
This beautiful family has been with Amanda Rabon Photography from the beginning. I’ve photographed them four times now: when Lily was 6 months, 9 months, 1 year old and now at 3 years old. I couldn’t be more honored to have been able to document Lily growing up and now, to document the family growing! As you’ll see in the pictures below, Lily is making a big announcement!

What a joy it was to end my 2016 with this photoshoot! My sweet friend Becca contacted me, saying that they wanted to get family photos done for her mom’s Christmas gift. I had the honor to get to take these photos, which show three generations of love, faith and joy. I simply loved the way the family interacted with each other, and how comfortable the girls were being held by any one. I think those two know just how much they are loved by all members of their family.
Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.

I was put into contact with this lovely family through some mutual friends of ours who know them from being stationed together with the Air Force. Tara, her husband, and kiddos were in town for Christmas and her mom wanted family pictures as her gift. This family was not only super photogenic, but as sweet as can be as well. The Colorado weather kept changing every few minutes from overcast to sun, but despite the chilly air, they kept on smiling and having a good time. There was even a dance party to Justin Timberlake at the end!
The Muckley Family

It’s hard to believe that this is the THIRD time that I have taken photos of this sweet family! The very first time, their youngest daughter was still cookin’ and they lived in Boston. So much has changed, but their fun-loving personalities have not! I absolutely love that each session I have with them includes at least one “funny face” picture. The trees are beautiful right now, so we had to take advantage of the fall colors and wonderful weather to embrace the coming season. And today is “Mama Muck’s” birthday – so, happiest of birthdays, Kate!

This sweet little guy turned one last month, so his parents wanted to get some photos taken of their newly minted one-year-old and some family photos as well. They suggested we take them in Historic Downtown Littleton, which was a great place with lots of brick and unique touches. We ended up with a perfect morning for walking Main Street and doing all kinds of silly things to make him laugh! There may have been bubbles and balancing stuffed animals on my head involved!
Nicole & The Boys
September 15, 2016
You may remember this beautiful family from the family photos I took of them when their youngest son was born. Nicole has since started a blog chronicling her adventures in being the mom to two boys. She approaches motherhood from a place of realness and grace. You should check her out over at Embracing Chaos. She asked me to take some lifestyle photos of her morning with the boys for her blog and I couldn’t wait to spend time with this family!

What a joy it was to get to photograph this beautiful family as they enter a new season of life with two children. Nicole and I met not quite a year ago, and shortly after we met she learned she was pregnant with her second little one. It has been so fun to walk beside her as she carried her second little man and my honor to get to capture some of the first photos of their family of four!

Jim and Amber have been family friends of my husband’s for over a decade. When they reached out to me for a quick session before Christmas, I couldn’t wait to meet their adorable little man, who was four months old at the time of our shoot. This shoot was chilly, but Nolan did great and we were able to catch some adorable smiles. It’s such an honor to have been able to take photos for their first Christmas card as a family of three!

So much has changed in just a short year since I last photographed this sweet family! They’ve welcomed a new baby girl (who is already almost one) and moved back across the country from the Boston area. It is so fun when families return to me for their family portraits because it is such a joy to see how much their little ones have grown. Imrie is just as fun and full of spunk as the last time I saw her and little Elsie Joy truly lives up to her name!
Molly & Hudson

When Molly contacted me to inquire about family photos with her little guy, I was really excited. Now, I might be slightly biased, but I think there’s something really special about the relationship between a mother and son. These two are a beautiful example of that. I also learned about Legoland and got to watch a few races during this shoot, so I’d say that it was a success all the way around.
